FORTUNA WHITE

The OBGC Soccer Program is designed to ultimately develop each player's skills, instill confidence and sportsmanship in a team environment, while preparing for high level competitive soccer.   This program is for girls who are interested in excelling with their fundamental skills and is geared to develop a love for the game of soccer.  Fortuna practices year round, playing in both fall and spring seasons in WAGS, and playing Futsal during the winter months at Champions Field House.  Fortuna also participates in several tournaments throughout the year, including the annual Beach 5 Sand Soccer Series in Ocean City, Maryland in June .  Practices are held in the Olney and Rockville areas of Montgomery County. 

Coach  - Kieran Doherty                                                                                                                                          

Coach Kieran has over 7 years of experience in coaching soccer both in England and in the US. Coached at Morecambe football club youth academy where he acquired his FA Coaching licenses.  Coach Kieran also has his U.S.S.F.D coaching license and is in the process of acquiring a “C” license as well.  His playing experience includes playing for the mens first team at Leeds Metropolitan University in England for 3 years (2005-2008).  Coach Kieran received a first class (4.0) Bachelor of Arts Honours Physical Education Degree in 2009 from Leeds Metropolitan University.
