OBGC Soccer (formerly Olney Soccer Club) was formed in 1975 and was incorporated in Maryland in 1981 as a 501(c)(iii) non-profit organization. In 2004 the club was merged into Olney Boys & Girls Community Sports Association (OBGC) with OBGC the continuing entity. OBGC Soccer now operates the entire soccer program for OBGC, including instructional, developmental, house, and travel.

OBGC Soccer's purpose is to enhance the soccer development of all of our players. Every player on our teams, from the youngest to the oldest, and from the least experienced to the most experienced, is important and OBGC Soccer is committed to making each player's overall experience with the club a valuable one.

The purpose of OBGC Soccer's travel program is to afford certain advanced players the opportunity to play at the highest competitive level of youth soccer in the metropolitan Washington, DC area. To achieve this objective, OBGC Soccer fields travel teams for boys and girls in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) and Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS) and Olney/Bethesda Soccer League. OBGC Soccer believes our travel team program helps our players to develop maturity, self-confidence and good sportsmanship. We believe the experience a player has with the program will be beneficial throughout his/her lifetime.
