Bringing home the Silver as first time competitors to the 2016 ESPN Disney Soccer Showcase tournament, Olney players showcased their technical skills, athleticism and years of training in front of hundreds of college coaches on the biggest soccer stage in the United States. Ranked the Number 1 US Youth Soccer Tournament by Soccer America, the Disney Showcase is the ultimate experience for youth soccer players.

Three days of competitive matches in the U18 Premier Red Bracket, with Olney winning each, resulted in a first place seeding and the opportunity to compete in the Division Championship match. Olney Girls 99 ended the showcase with a record of 3-1 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. Players fought hard against some competitive teams from Nevada, Illinois, Florida and Pennsylvania while gaining national on-field exposure to a wide variety of college coaches.

After a short three-week break, Olney Girls 99 will begin preseason training in preparation for Spring 2017 Eastern Regional League play, 2017 USYSA State Cup competitions and a number of high profile showcases.
